Singapore Pulses Federation Limited and Agrocorp International had a successful celebration of the Global Pulses Day in Singapore on 18th Jan 2017. SPFL board members Puneet Jain and Ritesh Bansal donated 60 kgs of varieties of pulses. SPFL’s main objective is to encourage people around the world to eat pulses and raise awareness on the multiple benefits of consuming pulses for people. Agrocorp International is a global agri commodity trading house and regularly donates food, funds and other items to charitable organisations. The company contributed 30 kgs to Food bank. Together they contributed 90 kgs of different varieties of pulses like chickpeas, dals, beans for elderly and children which will be distributed by Food bank to charitable associations. Agrocorp team also volunteered at the Food bank Warehouse and helped the food bank team with inventory taking, sorting and packing food donations.
Food bank is based in Singapore and a place where people can come to deposit or donate food which will then be collected and allocated to the needy through a network of member beneficiaries such as family service centres, various types of homes, soup kitchens, and other VWOs.
