Here at Banza, we're obsessed with food. And we believe you shouldn't have to choose between healthy and tasty. Which is where our chickpea love story begins...
Our co-founder Brian invented the first version of Banza in his tiny kitchen in 2013. He was just playing around with one of his favorite foods - chickpeas, trying to make a better version of pasta.
His goal was to recreate the traditional pasta experience he craved, while using a highly nutritious (and very delicious) legume. Banza chickpea pasta has 2x the protein, 4x the fiber and nearly ½ the net carbs of traditional noodles.
Our overall mission is to take other staple foods that people love and make them better, by using more nutritious ingredients. We have a lot of love for legumes, and we’re excited that International Year of the Pulses is helping to spread that love!
