Soya Thongba

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 big potato, diced
  • 1 cup soya chunks
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 5 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 green chillies, sliced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste


Heat pan with oil. To that add cumin and fry it until it turns light brown. 

Add onion to pan along with ginger garlic paste. Saute them until the onions turn soft. 

Add soya chunks, potatoes and green peas to pan. Sauté them for few seconds. 

To the same pan add turmeric and enough salt. Fry them for 1 minute on medium heat. 

Add milk to pan and close it with a lid. Cook on low heat with a lid until the gravy gets little thick. 

Remove lid and add green chili's to gravy. Allow gravy to become thick.

Adjust salt and spice if needed. Switch off heat. 

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm with rice and roti.
