Roasted Lab Lab Bean

  • 300 g lab lab beans
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp fried onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chicken powder
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 tbsp olive oil


Soak lab lab bean in water for about 8 hours before cooking the curry.

Heat oil in a pot. Fry onion, garlic and turmeric until fragrant.

Add lab lab bean and stir well for 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup of water and boil it while covering the pot.

After the water is boiling, simmer until lab lab beans are very soft.

When lab lab beans are soft, add salt and chicken powder and stir.

Finally add the fried onion and serve hot.

(Note: shake the pot while stirring to avoid burning.)
