To a large pot over medium heat, add sausage and bacon and cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned.
Add garlic and onion and sauté for 3-5 minutes, or until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
Add tomatoes and sauté until soft, about 4 minutes.
Add lentils and cook for 2 minutes, to lightly crisp.
Add broth to pot and bring to a simmer. Stir in bay leaves, oregano, salt and pepper.
Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Add cilantro.
Reduce heat to a low simmer, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.
