Cook Time 10 minutes
balls

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chickpeas, cooked
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup, or honey or agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup protein powder, pea
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsps coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, mini

Instructions

  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas
  • Process the chickpeas, vanilla, maple syrup, pea protein (note: pea protein can have a strong flavor, so if that’s not your thing, use oatmeal), salt, and baking soda in a food processor until smooth
  • Add coconut flour one tablespoon fun at a time continuing to process until dough begins to come away from sides of bowl
  • Add chocolate chips and pulse a few times to mix them in
  • Form dough into small balls
  • Flash freeze on a cookie sheet before sealing in containers for handy snacks
  • Enjoy!

Sounds awesome! I’m not allergic, but almond flour is amazing and very versatile. Thanks for suggesting it.

Hi Carolyn, thanks for asking! Yes you can use almond flour in this recipe. You could also use an all-purpose flour if you’re not gluten-free. Enjoy!

Maggie, I think that would work, since they didn’t specify otherwise. By the way, I don’t think the site moderator ever replies to comments here. We’re on our own. 😉
